NLA-Liberia Donates Assorted Food and Non-Food Items to Caregivers of Triplets Whose Mother Died During Delivery

The Management of the National Lottery Authority (NLA), as part of its corporate social responsibility and humanitarian intervention efforts, has donated assorted food and non-food items to the caregivers of a set of triplets whose mother (Marie Quoi) sadly passed away during childbirth in Saclepea, Nimba County.
The compassionate gesture by the Authority is in fulfillment of its commitment to supporting vulnerable and disadvantaged individuals and families across Liberia, particularly in moments of distress and tragedy.
Presenting the donation on behalf of the Director General, Hon, Peter L. Solo in Saclepea, Nimba County at the weekend, NLA Social Welfare Assistant Director, Madam Helena Bobo Dour expressed heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family and reaffirmed the Authority’s dedication to promoting social welfare through tangible community assistance.

The items donated by the Departments of Social Welfare, Health and Safety included bags of rice, cartons of milk, baby formulas, diapers, clothing, cooking oil, detergents, and other essential supplies intended to ease the burden of the caregivers as they nurture the triplets. Madam Dour said the NLA remains committed to ensuring that its mandate extends beyond generating revenue for national development to also uplifting the lives of vulnerable citizens.

“This donation is not only a reflection of our institutional compassion but also an expression of solidarity with families in need. We want to assure the caregivers that they are not alone in this journey, the NLA stands with them.” The Assistant Welfare Director stated.

Receiving the items, the family members and Athorities at the Saclepea Comprehensive Health Center extended deep appreciation to the NLA for its timely and humane intervention, noting that the support would go a long way in providing relief and comfort for the infants.
The National Lottery Authority continues to demonstrate leadership in social responsibility through similar interventions across the country supporting orphanages, hospitals, schools, and communities in need. This latest gesture underscores the Authority’s belief that national development is most impactful when it is inclusive, compassionate, and people-centered.

The mother of the set of triplets, Marie Quoi died at the Saclepea Comprehensive Health Center in August this year while giving birth.
