The National Lottery Authority (NLA) is pleased to announce that, as part of the results and impact of its ongoing Social Welfare Programs being implemented across the country, the Julue-ta Interim Care Center, located on the GSA Road, has benefitted from a significant donation of assorted sanitary products, standing and wall fans and clothing items generously provided by the Church of God in Christ Incorporated, based in the United States of America. This humanitarian gesture is in direct alignment with the NLA’s mandate to support and uplift vulnerable and less fortunate groups within society through targeted welfare interventions.
The donation, facilitated through the NLA’s Social Welfare Department, underscores the strong partnership between faith-based organizations and public institutions in advancing the collective well-being of Liberians in need.
During the presentation ceremony, a representative of the Church of God in Christ Incorporated, Mot. Emma Rose Sanders expressed the institution’s commitment to continuing support initiatives that contribute to improved health, dignity, and living conditions for orphans, abandoned children, and caregivers at the Julue-ta Interim Care Center.
Mot. Sanders emphasized that this outreach was part of their broader mission to demonstrate love, compassion, and service to humanity.
Receiving the donation, officials of the Julue-ta Interim Care Center extended heartfelt appreciation to the Church of God in Christ Incorporated and the National Lottery Authority for their sustained support.
They highlighted that the donation will go a long way in addressing the Center’s pressing needs, particularly in ensuring improved hygiene, comfort, and care for the children and residents.
For her part, NLA’s Assistant Director for Social Welfare, Mrs. Helena Bobo Dour said the authority remains committed to expanding its social welfare and community empowerment programs across Liberia, with special focus on promoting the welfare of children, persons with disabilities, and other vulnerable populations.
Mrs. Dour furthered that the Authority continues to call on national and international partners, corporate entities, and faith-based organizations to collaborate in advancing initiatives that contribute to Liberia’s social and humanitarian development.
