PRESIDENT JOSEPH NYUMA BOAKAI, SR. DONATES US$10,000 TO THE DISABLED COMMUNITY IN BOMI COUNTY AS NLA INTENSIFIES NATIONWIDE WELFARE DISTRIBUTION

Government of Liberia, through the Office of the President, His Excellency Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to social inclusion, care for vulnerable citizens, and support to historically marginalized groups. On November 30, 2025, while celebrating his 81st Birthday, President Boakai made a compassionate donation of Ten Thousand United States Dollars (US$10,000) to the Disabled Community in Bomi County, demonstrating once again his dedication to uplifting disadvantaged populations across the country. The President’s humanitarian gesture comes at a time when the National Lottery Authority (NLA) is continuing its robust nationwide distribution of assorted food items to disabled groups, orphanage homes, old folks, destitute individuals, public welfare institutions, and scientific communities.

This nationwide effort falls under the NLA’s Social Welfare Program, designed to provide tangible support and relief to communities most in need, in alignment with the President’s broader national ARREST Agenda for inclusive Development. Speaking during the presentation in Bomi County, a representative of the disabled community, Mr. Peter Jimmy expressed profound appreciation to President Boakai for his consistent leadership, compassion, and unwavering belief in fostering equal opportunities for all Liberians, regardless of social, economic, or physical status. He lauded the donation as timely, meaningful, and reflective of a President who leads with integrity and empathy.

The National Lottery Authority, under the leadership of Hon. Peter L. Solo, Director General, continues its humanitarian outreach as mandated by law. Speaking in Tubmanburg, Bomi County during President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr, 81st Birthday celebration when NLA donated about 120 bags of 25kg rice, oil and Vita cube to the Disabled Community, Hon. Solo assured that the authority remains committed to channeling lottery-generated social welfare funds toward impactful interventions that strengthen vulnerable communities and ensure that national growth is inclusive. DG Solo emphasized that the NLA’s ongoing nationwide distribution exercise is not merely a one-time gesture but a structured and continuous national program aimed at improving the dignity and welfare of Liberians who depend on government-supported services.

He extended the National Lottery Authority’s gratitude to President Boakai for his strong leadership in promoting inclusive governance and ensuring that every Liberian especially those often forgotten feel seen, supported, and valued.
