NLA Welcomes New Chairperson of the Alliance on Disability; Reaffirms Commitment to Persons With Disabilities.

Monrovia/NLA/March 11, 2026 – The Management of the National Lottery Authority (NLA) has officially welcomed the newly appointed Chairperson of the Alliance on Disability, Ms. Anna Vines, during a courtesy visit aimed at strengthening the longstanding partnership between the two institutions.
Ms. Vines’ visit to the Authority served as an official introduction following her recent appointment as Chairperson of the Alliance on Disability, a conglomeration of organizations representing and advocating for the rights and welfare of Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) across Liberia.
The engagement also provided an opportunity to reaffirm and revitalize the collaborative relationship between the Alliance and the NLA in advancing programs and initiatives that benefit members of the disabled community.

During the meeting, Ms. Vines expressed her appreciation to the leadership of the National Lottery Authority headed by Hon. Peter L. Solo for the continued support to Persons With Disabilities and organizations that advocate on their behalf.
The emphasized her administration’s commitment to fostering stronger cooperation with the Authority and disclosed plans to formally share the Alliance’s comprehensive Five-Year Strategic Plan, which outlines key priorities and programs aimed at empowering Persons With Disabilities and enhancing their social and economic inclusion.

According to Ms. Vines, the Alliance remains committed to working with national institutions and partners to improve the welfare, opportunities, and representation of Persons With Disabilities in Liberia. She stressed that the collaboration with the National Lottery Authority will play a significant role in ensuring that the objectives of the Alliance are realized.

Receiving the delegation on behalf of the NLA’s Management, the Chief of Staff, Mr. Roger B. Abim-Karmon, Sr. congratulated Ms. Vines on her appointment and assured her of the Authority’s unwavering support to the Alliance and the broader disabled community.
Mr. Abim-Karmon, Sr., reaffirmed that supporting Persons With Disabilities remains a statutory responsibility of the National Lottery Authority, consistent with the institution’s mandate to promote social good and support vulnerable groups within Liberian society.
He emphasized that the Authority places high priority on initiatives that uplift Persons With Disabilities and enhance their wellbeing.
The Chief of Staff further reiterated the Authority’s readiness to work closely with the Alliance on Disability in implementing programs and activities that will directly benefit the disabled community.

He acknowledged the Alliance as an important umbrella body that brings together various disabled organizations and serves as a unified voice advocating for the rights and empowerment of Persons With Disabilities across the country.
The meeting concluded with both institutions reaffirming their commitment to strengthening cooperation, maintaining open dialogue, and exploring new opportunities for collaboration that will further advance the welfare, inclusion, and empowerment of Persons With Disabilities in Liberia.
The National Lottery Authority remains committed to promoting responsible gaming while also supporting social initiatives that contribute to national development and the wellbeing of vulnerable populations.
