Monrovia, Liberia – August 8, 2026 – The National Lottery Authority (NLA) of the Republic of Liberia has officially adopted a Revised Fee Schedule under Resolution No. 005, covering administrative, licensing, device registration, and operational compliance fees within the gaming sector.
The revised fee schedule is intended to strengthen regulatory oversight, promote a transparent and accountable gaming industry, and support sustainable economic development across Montserrado County and other counties of Liberia.
Key Changes Under the Revised Fee Schedule
Administrative and Application Fees
Initial non-refundable application fees for licenses, permits, and charitable gaming activities have been adjusted to standardized rates.
Regulatory Compliance and Penalties
Late renewal penalties and fines for non-compliance under Regulation 001 have been adjusted to reinforce operational accountability and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Digital and Online Gaming
Standardized licensing structures are now in effect for Online Casinos, Online Sports Betting, and Digital Scratch & Win operations, reflecting the continued expansion of digital gaming activities.
County-Based Operations
Distinct fee structures remain applicable to primary gaming operations in Montserrado County and operations conducted in other counties.
Important Guidelines for Operators and Applicants
1. Fee Payment Currency
All application fees, annual license levies, device registration costs, and regulatory penalties must be paid exclusively in United States Dollars (USD).
2. Payment Before License Issuance or Renewal
No license or operating permit will be issued or renewed until all applicable fees have been fully settled with the National Lottery Authority.
3. License Renewal and Grace Period
All licensees are encouraged to begin their annual renewal processes before the expiration of their licenses. Renewals made beyond the applicable statutory limits will attract mandatory late fees in accordance with Regulation 001.
